View back-end directors

Unisphere supports the display of director information.

Prerequisites

Steps

  1. Select the storage system.
  2. Select System > Hardware.
  3. Click the BE Directors tab.

    The Back End Directors list view opens. Use this view to view and manage the back-end directors.

    NOTE:  Some of the following properties and controls are environment-specific and therefore may appear in a different order or not at all.

    The following properties display:

    Director Director name.
    Director Status Director status.
    % Busy The percentage of time the director is busy. This field only displays when the storage system is registered with the Performance component.
    Type Director type.
    Protocol Transmission protocol for the director port.
    PowerMaxOS 10 (6079)Port Port ID (not applicable for storage systems running PowerMaxOS 10 (6079))
    Port Status Indicates whether the port is online or offline (not applicable for storage systems running PowerMaxOS 10 (6079)).
    Alerts Indicates if there are alerts that are associated with the director.

    To see more information about the details and performance of a director, select it and click Details icon (see View back end director details).
